had LA (english) papers today and they were quite okay! the much dreaded essay was better than expected. THANK GOD :D. ONE DOWN!

Had been having my right eye swollen since around tues.Thanks to all for have expressed concern over my swollen eye/prayed for it to heal. appreciated it much! :D I went to see a doctor today, pray that it will heal faster than the 3 weeks estimated :P. hahahah. im not really in other ways affected by it lah coz i know its well cared for and prayed for!

I'm here! just to update abit so i wont be completely dead in cyberworld for a while.

hohoh. sat service was WAY awesome :D. and im thankful for dear joanne who held grads campaign mtg 2 and our first kick-off seed mtg! <3
went out to study with central grads today at tiong bahru bk and it was pretty productive! :D im glad really. and thank God that my sore throat and flu has much subsided since last night. Calean is a happy happy kid!!

Last week wasnt the best but this week its gonna get better :) im sure. EOYS here i come!

I thought that i should take some time to do blog updating:)

Today has church anniversary celebs at D'Marquee @ Downtowneast! (yepps the same place we had graces prom early this year :D) the familiarity man! can imagine 407 dancing the tribal dance at the open spaces. hahaha. but D'Marquee today was filled with people who were there wanting to meet God face to face! Praise and worship music was LOUD! Outside can hear :D:D hehehe

Some thoughts came to me today/recently so i thought of just sharing via blog!

- the SAME God
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever [Hebrews13:8]

In the old testament God did many great things
parted the red sea, close the mouths of the lions when daniel was in the den, delivered the promise He made to Abraham(those who were there at dmarquee for svc today will know :)) and so on.
Then, He did something even greater- Christ himself conquered death on the cross. He showed his power and authority over death.

and this SAME GOD is currently my bestie and one whom I am willing to trust my life in. The same God that calls me His own dear child and is working in me to do things i would NEVER imagined I could have done w/o Him.
SO PRIVELEDGED I TELL YOU<3! whoo hoo:D

the God that brought Hope S'pore thru these SIXTEEN years is the same God who would bring us thru in everything we are doing now

so, bring me thru God! i know i still have a long way with you (im still young :D)

-It takes FAITH
its true that we are the ones who many times have to take the first step: believing and trusting God for what is unseen, uncertain, uncomfortable, unfamiliar... not easy not easy
it is DENYING our own perception of what is logical and impossible to see things from God's eyes.

I believe that faith comes when we know/trust the person we put our faith in is faithful- human logic: like a wife will have more faith in her husband if she knows her husband is faithful to her as well. 2-way thing.

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. [Deu 7:9]

To know that God will be faithful to you probably starts with your own step.

To experience God's comfort starts from your decision to pray, cos He is just a prayer away
To see that God can bless you and help you starts from you wanting to ask and telling Him how He can help.
To see that God can use you even greater starts from you be willing to trust, obey and act:)

FUN AND FELLOWSHIP with this family of GOD:
On Monday, 3 sep, Calean was at biggin hill road having a chalet with other centralites:D I think the best part was really when we went crazy together and camwhore! imagine camwhoring at around 6 in the morn when you havent been slping for the whole night. :)

and we finally got to wear our very own central shirt! the dryfit material is really good. super light :D and behind is a line from DEAR SZEMIN.

"the very centre of God's will..." :)

i will update more about central chalet when i get the pics from sherlyn! :)


METAMORPHOSIS:
wow wow wow. can really sense strong anointing from the Holy Spirit :D ... time well-spent! I learnt a whole lot of fundamentals which helped in some realignment in my own walk with God. God is there when we prayed together for holy spirit bap. in short, metamorphosis was truly metamorphosis! cos every life received a touch from God there and then. :)

there is a God-sized hole in every life tt nothing else can fill.

EXTENDED PRAYERMENT:

It was about learning to be addicted to nothing but God and choosing to surrender so that God can take over,

I was just thinking. One of the greatest obstacles to growth is probably the mindset that
"Hey, i don't think i'm at fault! I don't think that I am wrong in XXX area..."

Perhaps unrepentance is one of the most frigthening mindset you can ever have. cos it is well-hidden in you and from everyone, except God himself.

God sees. He sends people to correct and convict but whether you bother to listen and trust and obey and change is up to you. Since this is unmistakably one of the reasons why i stagnated from a whole year even after i came to yhope, it is time to be more alert, self-controlled and aware.

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. [1 Peter 5:8]

God has been really good to me through this period.
No it's not the absence of problems
but rather His assurance through all things that he will be there no matter what happens.

I saw how differently i react to problems nowadays.
surely, i get emotionally worked up. sometimes abit ji dong.
but i know that God gives problems as blessings in diguise
and so i learn more things through these tests

If God gives a problem, he will definitely bring you through it
be it exam stress, struggles to balance this and that or r/s problems
God is BIGGER than all of that
to him IMPOSSIBLE is nothing

well, if He is in me i guess i really have to learn to say that!
'impossible is nothing!"

im finally updating my bloggy :D. hoho. lets see.

last friday was teacher's day celebs. whoosh. it was i think one of the BEST celebs i've ever been thru (maybe being in the graduating batch batch makes the diff). started the day where everyone was feeling high alrdy! i was bouncing my way down to meet yux :P. hehe. class party was great!


I SERIOUSLY think that 407'07 is one of the most corny and crappy class hve ever been in <3!

PT- a mug and sweets with the label 'STD stoppers'


Dai Lao shi- a hat! and inside we wrote 'Dai' :D


Mrs Ho (math)- big daddy mummy calculator and pi pa gao and honey!

Mrs Lai (chem)- a bag of AVOCADO (cos of avogrado's constant!)


Mr Khong (IH/SS)- AN ESSAY:

heheh. it was fun to see the whole nanyang ROARING in laughter at the teacer's performances! then there was also the montage and the nostalgic performance put up by the olvl classes.

man. i will really miss a lot of things about nanyang! and no this will not become an emo entry about the teacher's day celebs (i think quite a number of ny ppl esp sec4s were in the verge of tearing). I'm glad im blessed to be in sch with these teachers! <3
