caregroup today was at botanical gardens :D it was fun! and learnt stuff too. hahah i love the change of environment.. very serene. we stayed there till it was hard to see each other's faces (due to the super dim lighting at the pavillion).. and yiyuan disappeared.

linghuan was being an efficient councillor in settling the launch project paintbrush 2. its quite exciting just thinking of it :D.. wells. looking forward! to understand what im refering to, u can read

Happy belated 17th birthday terri! :)
celebrated terri's bday on fri with tiffa, zee may and esther..at seletar country club :) cool place. and we got a ktv room there for $10 (in total) per hour :D! the room is huge. got to bowl also.. hahaha what to say, i still cant bowl well for nuts.

on sat after unit mtg, had dinner with lip linus yiyuan and songkang. i enjoyed the company and the convos :)! yiyuan shared about his convictions for guys ministry, with was inspiring and wow, im really excited at how God is gonna move through him and the rest of the guys in jc central in this holidays :). time to see new people catching the spirit and rising up to greater things ;)... its like God showing me how the prophesy at LC is making its way true to reality...

spent the morning today watching the 1st part of 'The real change" series on
-->http://www.elevationchurch.org/?player=s by Pastor Steven of elevation church. and it really moved me alot, and reminded me once again on what a church is meant to be like, what we live for and live to see.

we cant wait for change, we ARE the change.

sometimes, i admit, i think that what im doing is too small to matter. too small to change anything. too small and insignificant. done today, forgotten tmr.. with time, blurs out into nothing.

...

i see the need to see more, step out more, dream more, invest more, believe and dream even MORE.
but i dare not. GOD HELP!

one thing for sure, this holidays, i believe. God is gonna take me on a BLAST with HIM!

instructor's training camp!

ITC was soooooo SLACK! seriously. which TRAINING camp as its name suggest, gives you about 30min buffer/relax time between activities, XXX hours to play cards? itc. hohoh.

on the 1st day the main activites were kayaking, first aid mob and structure building.
kayaking didnt happened in the end, cos it rained. so basically we spent the sch's money travelling there and back. first aid mob was quite fun :) i think stuffy debbie and zijia did a great job handling it!! random stuff like weichang and i 4gt who decided to be siamese twins -.-. fern got daoed for having a "1 tonne" box cover on her. renice kept running away. but in all i think i got to revise first aid skills :). i was supposed to have a dislocated shoulder and abrasion, which jasmine kept poking. hahah! but okay, charlton was quite a good first aider. and i was trying to be a lousy casualty by whining and running around.
structure building was interesting cos we got to build a mini hourglass structure. well i must say it makes a big diff having guys around and girls who can tie tight! cos i was just imagining if that were to be done in guides. the first tripod will crash first even before we tie the second -.-
so you can imagine. structure building ended at around 6? then the rest of the time till the night was slacking, play cards and eat. :) my sentry was first slot. slack. i didnt know playing uno could be that fun! and i realise its pretty hard to tell green and blue apart in dim light.

second day we travelled down to ubin for land ex! the weather was really good when we, the first three groups, got to cycle- i didnt touched sunblock at all. cycling was super fun :D:D. ubin had really rocky roads but thank God i still could cycle on them. just STILL very lousy at upslopes. sighhh. i better improve b4 bike hike next year..
when we came back, we played daiti for 3-4 hours straight! someone came up with FBT- fat black di, for 2 spade -.-. and there was zhengxian and peiyit with their lingos- rejected, this card is full of possibilties. fun :D!
after tt we had dinner! apa was the only group who managed to get away cooking in a pavillion w/o getting caught. the rest had to squat at the beach there :P. dinner was quite good, had lots of food, its really eat until full!

on the last day the main activity was rock climbing! we travelled straight from changi jetty to jurong. climbers laboratory was in some random place that overlooks heavy industries. as usual, rock climbing is fun and i miss it after not climbing for so long. :D back in sch, cleaned up, washed mess tins then travelled home with jas :) got caught in the rain and my mum was sweet enough to fetch me with this HUGE umbrella that can squeeze three people inside.

okay end of ITC! i only have about 5 mozzie bites and NO SORE THROAT!
/
YES! theres cg tmr! how i miss being with the j2s.

okay so Obama is president. hahah well, i wish i could like give some intellectual comments on the whole elections thing, but i really know nuts about most of it. blame my bad habits- e.g dont read papers often. arghh.

okay oops. anw i was just reminded of me when i was younger... I HATE politics! seriously. i wonder if young kids all go thru this phase. it is always seemingly boring and cheem. in the past when my english/chinese teacher gave assignments like "write reflections on a newspaper article", i rmb myself skipping thru all the politics news, wondering WHY is there some many of tt! and then pick out some random article like..i dunno. 1 women had 6 babies at a go. or sth interesting like that. oh wells.

as for the american elections. ive just been wondering why it took so long -_- okay nvm. i did try to read a couple of articles on reader's digest and stuff. but im still lost. yeah.

/

i am reading Jodi Picoult's "nineteen minutes". church/God was mentioned rather often, it was in an American society setting. and gosh, these people (or rather characters) don't know God! because if they had, the course of their life story would have been really different.. it somehow pains me, though its fiction, to read about lives anchored on popularity..on things that dont last forever.

The wise man builds his house upon the rock. The foolish man builds his house on the sand. Storms come, storms go. Only the one on the rock stands.

just random thoughts.

i think these couple of days havent been really joy filled. it is like...even the simplest of things can suck away energy. considering that im quite free nowadays (and in fact in this hols), it feels rather queer. odd. weird. that definitely not good i know, i need to find back my first love for God..

the shpdings that i had with shar and val last week was :). i think they came as a form of blessing for me. then sat's sermon brought me into tears, but the message came in timely though. its those kind of times when you doubt yourself and God comes in and change things. when theres a need for some encouragement and motivation for....well. but God is patient and understands anyway.

God's unchanging nature. God's faithfulness.

[Romans 4:19-21}
If i were Abraham today, would i stand unwavering in the belief that God has the power to make sarah bear a child?

[1 Samuel 17:45-47]
If i were David today, would i boldly stand before Goliath believing that victory has already been won?

God i need assurance that You are with me.

pw op was quite good for me :) presented quite well, qn was simple and im satisfied with how i replied! so thank God!
