last fri/sat was valentines! this yr's vday in hc seems a lot more quiet w/o angel-mortal gift exchange. thanks to all who went to extra mile to give me stuff :) appreciate it. sorry this year i lazy to do stuff:/.
fri evening was spent with OG5 at rev-it-up campfire! it was fun:D, apollo performances and fac dance was greattt.
sat seem to pass by so quickly! svc was an awesome reminder on how deep and perfect God's love is. last week, esp at the start was quite horrible :(. partly due to flu and other stuff.. tues was so so cui mans. but thankfully, God's prescence and help was so real :). im incredibly blessed. i say this with full assurance. JFC discussion was insightful! it had a vday theme. hahaha. but i really learnt alot from it regarding BGR.
reached home alot earlier than usual ytd and today (i love my new timetable). heres something i read that provoked me to reflect.
"Dear God, please use me to do great things for you!"or"Dear God, please use me to do great things for you!"There is a vast difference between the two prayers above although they are worded in the exact same manner. The difference lies in where the person places his/her emphasis on when making the prayer.Are we more eager for God to use us or are we more eager to do things for God? chanced upon this post on jasmine loh's blog and it hit me greatly cos ive been praying prayer 1 way too often in comparison to prayer 2.
in learning to put my focus on God rather than myself, i realise many concerns are acually redundant. redundant to be insecure about how i fair, how much i seem to be doing or wors, neing concerned about how others think i fair and how much others think i seem to be doing.
in the first place, it was never about me. its about Him.
the answer to "why
I dont seem to be
doing great things for God . " seems more obvious now.so im learning to unbold those words above and enlarge "for God"

♥ CNY!
me and my mum :)
my dad was overseas during cny so its just my mum my sis and i!
paternal side. these are not my cousins but my cousins kid! cute right...okay i know. everyone is going on about how cute their cousiins/cousins kids are aft cny. but its true:p! the boy looks like a jap boy hahaha! the girl beside him is HIS cousin. the pic above is his sister.
now maternal side! the older cousins-girls :D
me my sis and jolene, our youngest cousin. shes super adorable! we tong pang their car for go around for some relatives hse.
thats jodi, her elder sis :) more quiet and cam shy! hahahaha (while jolene happily poses away for MANY pics taken in the car) the cool thing is that both of them are now old enough to have convos with you. it used to be that they were in their own world.

the j1s are officially part of hwachong today! im kind of not used to the sudden crowd everywhere (esp canteen). we actl had to SEARCH for an empty bench aft sch for lunch! i hope orientation will be high and fun for them as it was (amazingly higher than expected) for our batch.. must neutralise the sianness of the j2s :P
its 2nd feb today! 2nd day of the 2nd month in year 2009. boy, time flies! feb will be busy busy busy. and i hate it when i enter a sort of auto pilot mode :/, make feel like that im not actually living though im alive.
last week i found a new "starbuck corner" with God. downstairs at my condo, by the pool on a raised platform that no on really walks by (not when theres flat road on the other side). just 20mins+, prayer. and i was all smiles and skipping back up to my hse :D. the night sky with some stars was a bonus! loveee that place.
